Sports Basement To Now Carry Arbor Skateboards In Their Stores

Sports basement Arbor Skateboards

This Arbor day we should remember that going green isn’t only about planting trees on a single day, it’s about integrating green practices into every aspect of our lives. With this philosophy in mind if you are in the market for a skateboard, check out Sports Basement’s Arbor collection. While Sports Basement has been carrying snowboards for years now they have finally added the Arbor skateboard to their collection as well.

All the decks of the skateboards are made off 7 to 8 ply of Canadian Hardrock Maple. Some models also include a finishing ply on top of the Canadian Hardrock Maple such as the Carbonized Bamboo or the Premium Palisander Wood. All decks come with grip tape, so they are ready to ride off the shelf. The wheel size ranges from 61 to 69 mm and is designed to dampen bumpy roads and give a soft and grippy ride.

All the wood used for these skateboards is made from sustainably grown trees. Any wood by-products are reclaimed and used in other products. In addition to this Arbor donates a portion of every sale to the restoration of Hawaii’s Koa Forests.

The Arbor collection can be bought online or at one of the many Sports Basement stores. Prices range from $139.99 to $209.99 USD per board.

Sports Basement started as a one-off shop in San Francisco in 1998, now they have grown to have 10 warehouses in the Bay area. Over the years they have added a rental program as well as developed an in-house ski and bike shop.
